With exception of the wonderful Fridays at Mass Camp the Carnival Season had finally kicked with the UWI carnival weekend. The weekend was started with a bang with an extended Integration Thursday yesterday to kick off the long Carnival Weekend.

Chedda, born Tyrello Johnson a savvy lyricist and one of Jamaicas' fastest rising deejay is steadily on a path to etch his name in the history books of dancehall. Son of the legendary dancehall artiste Daddy Screw whose real name is Micheal Alexander Johnson, this up coming entertainer has nothing but music and the drive to excel thumping through his veins. Some of his musical influences includes his father, Daddy Screw, Bob Marley, the warlord Bounty Killer, the Doctor Beenie Man, the Emperor from Portmore Vybz Kartel, Aidonia and last but by no means least his Grandparents. Chedda's hot new single "My Rifle" on a rhythm of with a similar name is presently scorching the airwaves and is on the verge of hitting the mainstream soon. According yo Chedda "my father, daddy screw was a major influence in my life because he was the one who really taught me everything I needed to know so I was taught the trade from a early age".
